Powers (no more than 150 words):

- Aid his comrades with status buiffs/debuffs and extra movement capability via singing.
- Moderate healing abilities via song, except on himself.
As a Heron:
- Empathic sensitivity to his surroundings. Violence makes him ill, and even eating meat leaves him bedridden for a week.

Personality
What is your character most afraid of? How are they defined by this fear? (200-300 words)
Weakness is the thing that Reyson is the most afraid of. He repeatedly attempts feats that are impossible for him for the sake of getting stronger, and makes commentary about wishing he had a big body and strong wings like Tibarn, so that his body could keep up with the fires in his heart. Part of this fear is out of self preservation-- the attack on the Serenes Forest tore everything he knew about his family and his world apart, and he cannot stand the idea of being reduced to a shell of what he was because of trauma, like what happened to his father in the aftermath of the fire.
This is above all an extension of Reyson's drive to protect the fragments of his family and their legacy that he can, as well as his desire to mete out justice for all of the Herons that can no longer sing.
However: this also manifests as an inability to trust. Before meeting Ike and the mercenaries over the course of Path of Radiance, Reyson loathed the idea even interacting with humans after what they did to his home and his family. The Herons were renowned for thier pacifistic ways, but Reyson did nothing to stop Tibarn and the other Hawks from committing acts of piracy against human ships as a matter of petty revenge. This inability to trust humans, however, also manifested in his willingness to blindly trust other Laguz-- which he paid for when his childhood friend Naesala sold him out to a human Duke as part of a grander ploy.
For Reyson, everything goes back to the Trauma he endured. He's slowly working through his biases on every angle, but it's a long process.
What is your character's greatest desire? How are they defined by this desire? (200-300 words)
Reyson's greatest desire is to see his family and his kingdom restored. This, fundamentally, is impossible. The attack on Serenes Forest 20+ years ago resulted in most of his siblings being killed and captured, and his father never fully recovered from the traumatic loss of this destruction. He has spent these last decades living amongst the Hawk clan at the behest of King Tibarn, and during that time the pain of his traumas and caring for his ailing father has grown and festered into a thirst for revenge.
Reyson's powers have diminished after years of fostering this rage in his heart. Reyson is no longer able to wield them with the finesse that he had when he was younger. Over the course of Path of Radiance, the players do see that the Serenes Forest is able to be restored... but Reyson was only able to do so after reuniting with his younger sister Leanne and allowing some of the rage in his heart to be soothed by this. Even then, it's only with the talents of his sibling at his side that he is able to work any of the Seid magic. However--
What is a kingdom if there is no one left to populate it? What is the worth of a royal bloodline if only two (which, as we discover in Radiant Dawn, is actually three) siblings remain-- and none of them are in love with another heron?
The world that Reyson desperately wants back can no longer exist and will never be able to exist again. This is the fundamental tragedy of Reyson's character, and it is only in accepting this and that the details of the world are not black and white will Reyson ever be able to move forward.
What is your character's most defining memory or relationship? How are they defined by this relationship? (200-300 words)
Reyson's defining memory is the Serenes Massacre, but his defining relationship is with the King of the Hawk Tribe, Tibarn. In the aftermath of the Serenes Massacre, which resulted in the death or capture of nearly all of the kingdom's inhabitants-- including his mother and nearly all of his siblings, it was Tibarn and his people who were within closest range to assist. Tibarn had his people gather help from other clans and orchestrated the initial first responses, and personally took both Reyson and his wounded father under wing and into his personal care. Tibarn watched over Reyson and his father for twenty years and served as the primary advocate as well as guide and friend to Reyson during that time-- comforting Reyson in the depths of his grief, encouraging new coping strategies and activities, as well as both protecting Reyson and teaching him how to defend himself.
During this time, Tibarn also took it upon himself to act in the stead of the Herons-- attacking ships from the Beorc kingdom that dared to pass near the cliffs of Phoenicis in a petty means of revenge for what happened to the Serenes Forest-- until they found a better means.
Reyson condoned these actions despite the pacifistic nature of the Herons. He additionally grew to idolize Tibarn over that time, admiring Tibarn's 'big body and strong wings' to the point that he emulated Tibarn in an attempt to gain similar strength himself. All his attempts failed-- but, to Tibarn, Reyson's greatest strength isn't in his fists but in his iron will to survive.
How will not having memories change your character? What core personality traits, if any, will change? How? (200-300 words)
The core matter that Reyson does not currently remember is the wanton destruction of his family and his people, which set off the entire scale of his life for the last twenty years and entirely changed his path in life. Without those memories, Reyson will still be impulsive but significantly less rage driven. In canon, a large part of his spitfire temper is because he has that rage burning at the bottom of his heart. Without it, and in combination with his natural empathy, he is more likely to be molded by the environment that he is currently living in and the events/shifts in mood that will come along with day-to-day activity.
Like how in canon, much of his current behavior is molded by his modeling of Tibarn and the hawks as well as generally absorbing their vibes after decades of life along their cliffs, he is going to similarly end up mirroring whomever he ends up spending the most time with. Given how his few memories currently contain suggestions of Tibarn's piracy, Reyson is going to believe that he is a pirate for a while.
Additionally, without recollection of his royal status or much about the Herons as a people overall, he will be less stiff and distant than he is in canon. This more personable, adaptable Reyson with his petulance and impulsivity is who will be arriving in Well.

Memories
You have 10 memory points. How will you use them?
Type of regain: 1 points.
Recollection of sea shanties, and the homes built into the cliffsides where he would watch ships pass by.
Type of regain: 3 points.
Taking care of his ailing father in those same cliffside dwellings, with the knowledge that this has been happening for a very long time.
Type of regain: 2 points.
Trying to help Tibarn and the others of the Hawk clan in one of their pirate raids-- with Tibarn ordering him to stay back.
Type of regain: 2 points.
The knowledge that he's an empath and some of the understanding that comes with it... at least enough to know that he's not just crazy for his emotional and physical reactions, even if he doesn't know everything that it entails.
Type of regain: 2 points.
Singing, as well as his general musical expertise. This includes playing a harp and being able to harmonize with nearly every song. However, this does not include knowledge of his magic or how it affects people.
The magic will remain, but only enough to give the listener the energy to do the work of two people-- not enough to restore corrupted minds or revive dying forests.
